Shoshan became Miss Israel on 1980 after two years service in the Israeli Air Force and attending Bar Ilan University.
She went on to become an international model, which brought her to the Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute in New York where she studied acting. She then moved from New York to Los Angeles, where she studied film production at UCLA.
Within 2 years of moving to Los Angeles, Illana produced her first film, Joshua Tree, starring Dolph Lundgren. After marrying husband Moshe Diamant, the couple formed Signature Entertainment, where Illana is Head of Development. She also served as Casting Director on Signature films including Hairy Tale, The Body and Knock Off, and developed and produced the upcoming Funky Monkey from Warner Brothers. In 2004 Shoshan read Imaginary Heroes written by Dan Harris, when he was fresh out of college. The movie stared Sigourney Weaver, Emile Hirsch, Jeff Daniels and became the talk of Cannes Film Festival in 2004 and also at the Toronto Festival.

In 2007, Shoshan was invited to lead a campaign for a leading fashion company in Israel, Crazy Line . The last two years years she devotes her time to help ” Economic Empowerment for Women ” in Israel, an organization that helps women get out of poverty by helping them start a small business from home www.womensown.org.il
